My Ionic stopped recorded steps after !058. I have updated my iPhone and restarted my Ionic. I find this frustrating.

Hi @Trvr2019. Welcome to the Community Forums and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

I've moved your post to this board so you can receive more related responses about the situation you're experiencing with your Ionic, and to keep our forums organized.

I appreciate you for trying to restart your Ionic and updating your iPhone. Just to confirm, may I know if your Ionic is still not recording your steps? Does the amount of steps get stuck on the Ionic, or is the issue with the Fitbit app on your iPhone? I'd recommend to force quit the Fitbit app, reboot your phone, restart your Ionic one more time, open the Fitbit app and sync your information.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

My Ionic started doing the same today and locked at 4263 steps since this morning.  It continues to sync without problems but my steps stay the same.  I've restarted the watch and also checked the mobile and desktop applications using my Galaxy S10 plus phone and Microsoft a Surface Pro4.  I walk two miles every day as a minimum this week exceeding my goals each day except today.  Steps after 8 eights remain at 4263 on my Ionic

Hi @SunsetRunner. I'm glad to see you here and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps tried on your Ionic. Nice way to start! To work on this together, please confirm the following information:

  • Do you mean that the steps don't increase on the main watch? Or do you mean that the Fitbit app doesn't update the steps correctly?
  • Are both, your watch and the Fitbit app updated to the latest version?

If the issue is related only to the watch, please take a picture of the amount of steps displayed on the Ionic vs the app and share it with me. This will allow me to take a deeper look. For instructions to attach a picture in your reply, check this post.

I'll look forward to your reply.

Hello,

My watch would not log any steps for 24 hours and the application showed the same steps during this time. The application updated the next day and problem resolved. It was just strange for 24 hours that while walking no changes were made and I had walked about 5 miles that day. So far, everything is back to noirmal.

Thanks for keeping me updated about this situation. I also found this behavior very strange but it's great that your information is now updating in the Fitbit app. In case you have some spare time, I’d like to invite you to visit our Discussion Board where you will find great tips and encouragement from other members and if there's anything else I can do for you, please keep me posted!
