Ionic stopped working with headphones when using GPS

I purchased a set of Aftershokz Titanium bone conduction bluetooth headphones last year and upgraded from a Fitbit Charge2, to a new Ionic, so that I could do longer distant runs without having to have my phone along for the run.  The GPS feature in the Ionic, and the Bluetooth audio sync worked perfectly for several months without any glitches.  Starting in January 2019 however, I can no longer use the bluetooth headphones while having the GPS running - the audio cuts in and out, it's horrible.  The only way I can seem to have it run is if I hold the fitbit up to my headphones while running, and of course that's ridiculous.  It worked from the beginning, what changed?  I was hoping an app or firmware update would correct this, but it's now April and I tried again this weekend, and the problem persists.  This is my 3rd Fitbit, and needless to say, I am really disappointed that this feature, along with the weather app no longer works.  For such a pricey watch, this shouldn't be happening, or at east should have a solution, but as I have now seen in other forums, this is a consistent problem for this model.  Anyone else on here experiencing this?

Nice to see you around @Atkinsound! Thanks a million for the feedback of your case, this is not a normal behavior of your Ionic. Also let me give you a hand with the issues with the weather app.

Thanks for trying to use your Ionic near to your headphones, when music is cutting on and off it is usually happening as a result of connectivity issues, I'd recommend performing a restart on Ionic in between the disconnecting and reconnecting process:

Something else you could do is resetting Bluetooth. Just turn it off, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on. This could also help you with this.

About the weather app, please check this post from @MarreFitbit. I'd like to know more details about the issue that you're having. Sorry that you feel that way, as I can see that you really like the Fitbit product. I'll be around to see your response. Thanks for the information in advance.

Try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Well it's now 6 months since Fitbit replaced my Ionic, and now the replacement is having the exact same problem - when running, the music is cutting in and out - I can't get 10 straight seconds of continuous music, which is extremely frustrating since 90% of the audio I have loaded is running tracks at programmed bpm for select workouts.  The only way I can keep it from cutting out is if I hold the Ionic right up to my ear touching the headphones.  Needless to say, I am starting to lose faith in these updates, it seems overtime there is a firmware update, something crashes, and for me it's the bluetooth audio every time.  I had 6 months of problem free runs with perfect audio, and now this again.  So frustrating, and the new Versa doesn't have GPS which is why I rely on the Ionic - so I don't have the need to run with a huge phone 8plus in my pocket.  Please tell me there is an easy fix this time around!
