Ionic stopped working

I too have had an issue with the last two updates - the first of which stopped the Ionic from working - the screen twitching and glitching on certain menus and now this is literally a $365 pedometer with none of the added features promised.

 

Is there a way to uninstall the "Exercise" app built in as this is where the problem seems to lie - the app freezes and screen glitches as you slide from exerces, to swimming, to bike, to what ever the fourth, fifth and sixth option are that you can't read because the screen freezes over the loaded screens.

 

When will the new update be coming to fix this problem - it is highly convenient that once the 12month user warranty is up that a company changes the software that ultimately makes a product unusable.

 

Please fix this problem and provide better trouble shooting than "try turning it off then on again" - or "soft/hard/factory reset the device".  It is not the device that is the issue - it is the current firmware.  IF you can not create new firmware that works - please at least allow users to have the option to run the older versions that DID work until the new version is fixed

Sorry to hear that you've had issues since you installed the latest firmware version. It's not possible to uninstall the exercise app because is a default app that's installed in your Ionic. At the moment, I don't have any information about when there's going to be a new firmware update.

 

Regarding the exercise app that's not working properly for you, you may want to manually log the activity while this gets resolved. We’re aware of it, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. We'll continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other customers. We understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured we're always working to improve our products.
