Has anyone else had a problem with The ionic stopping tracking mid run? I’ve had the watch since December and this has happened once a week on average. After many emails to Fitbit support and many automated responses, watch factory reset etc I still have no solution. Fitbit say this is a problem with the system and not the watch and that the final solution they new give me is for me to log my runs manually ! Which is something I could do without having spent £230 on a useless watch. This doesn’t seem acceptable to me but seems to be Fitbit’s stance on my problem. Is anyone having a similar problem ?

Hello.
This is going to sound super weird. This happened to me once, but I was able to fix this. The resetting of the device also did not work for me. Now for the weird part. I went into my account on the fitbit app, then settings, advanced settings. Then under time zone I turned off Set Automatically for only a few moments, and then turned it back on. I'm not sure why, but this solved my problem, and all of the missed steps suddenly appeared. This was a few months ago, and it still has not happened to me since.
I hope this works for you. Either way, please let me know. I'd be interested to see if this was just a coincident for me.
Thanks

My dad who regulary jogs 6 miles is still dealing with this problem on his ionic. He described it to me as, when he looks down at his watch to check his time it is back to the normal watch face. He also mentioned it will work fine for a week and then it will happen again a few days latter. He has been considering leaving fitbit for Garmin because of this.
