Ionic strap issues

Upgraded from a blaze to a ionic on the 6th of may. Loaded with music and bought a good pair of Bluetooth headphones and went on a 20 mile run. I was really impressed by the GPS accuracy and not having to take my phone with me .used another 3 times that week for running and no probs. On Sunday the 13th , went hill walking in the glorious Scottish hills and about 2 hours in went to check my heart rate after a tough climb and the fitbit was not on my wrist anymore. As the walk was not on paths it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.£240 down the drain and can't understand how this happened when I've had no issues for a week . The strap made a solid clicking sound when put into the unit and just so disappointed as I loved the watch. Has put me off the ionic and will be looking at other smart watches.

How did you not feel it fall off?!

Maybe both sides didn't click on properly.

I really thought I would have felt it falling off my wrist but didn't feel a thing. Definitely heard it click into place and I had no issues for a week,it really is a mystery and gutted.

Hi, I’m having the same trouble with my strap it comes of when I twist my wrist, so going to complain about it, it’s a lot of money to lose, same thing happened to the Fitbit flex and lost that one

Sorry to hear you lost your flex and your are having issues with your ionic. I have contacted Fitbit about losing my watch but have not heard back from them, so going to contact them again and you should definitely do the same. Please be really careful with your watch as I really didn't feel it falling off and it was the strap that came with it in the box.
