Ionic stuck on Fitbit logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have tried the factory reset - holding in all three buttons but the screen merely goes blank and then the logo returns. I have tried it with the Ionic connected to the charging cable and disconnected and get the same effect. The Fitbit logo flashes off, the screen is blank and then the logo returns and remains.

Hi there @Carien, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the difficulties you've been having with your Ionic, you've done a good job with those steps. I'll be glad to help you with this.

I'd recommend trying the steps below:

  • Remove your Ionic from your Fitbit account and unpair it from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Ionic again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Ionic.

If you can't get started with your Ionic, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I'm looking forward to your response, keep me posted.

HI,

I have done all of this, gone through the 10 steps in trouble shooting and still nothing.

I have restarted the phone and the Ionic,

I have turned the bluetooth of and back on,

I have deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled in,

I have literally done it all, and still I have only the fitbit logo on the screen of the Ionic and my phone keeps searching and not finding it.

AND the wifi signal is full.

I have the same problem.  I have spent over a week following every tip to similar issues with no luck.  On charge the logo just slowly flashes, off charge the same for about 30 minutes then 0% battery, goes dead but not really as a left button brings the logo back temporarily.  I’ve tried to get chat help and email help but both not available and in all this time I believe the warranty has just expired as it is now one year and 5 days old.  Help please!!!

Hi, I just resolved my ionic issue, stuck at fitbit logo. I just got it about 2 days ago, and when I did the app installation, the firmware update notification appeared on the app. After I clicked it, my phone start downloading the new firmware and at 89% the watch stuck at fitbit logo. I spent the whole night to find out what was wrong. Until I notice the watch can't detect 5G wifi, so I switched my phone's wifi from 5G to 2.4GHz wifi. And after that, I factory reset the ionic and reconnect it again to my phone and everything run well.

I understand that your issue is different than mine.

The ionic and the phone must be connected to the same wifi connection and the same band (2.4GHz). My wifi router has dual-band frequency (2.4 GHz & 5GHz). Apparently my issue was the ionic and my phone connected to the same wifi but at different band. After I disconnected the 5GHz band from my phone's wifi list and the phone only connects to the same wifi band as the ionic... well... it solved my problem. My ionic came back to live again.

I got my ionic 2 days ago and it already gave me headache. At least everything runs well now.

Finally, I can change the clock face and install some apps into the ionic.

Mine continues to roll with the logo..the newest one. I got my old one working...but it  took forever and a day for it to sync the time and to conncect to WiFi...after contacting Fitbit they gave me reset directions...currently seems to be ok. But the other continues to roll...the logo..Fitbit told me to:

IMPORTANT: Please note that you need to reinstall any apps on your Fitbit after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync it, then any data will be lost.

1. On the watch, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays http://Fitbit.com/setup.
5. When the watch successfully resets, please set it up again to your account. For steps, please see: http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1873.htm?Highlight=replace.
