Ionic support discontinued

Searching the website, Fitbit appears to have discontinued support for the Ionic.  No software updates, no app updates, no new apps available.  Is this a Google issue or Fitbit wanting me to buy a new watch?  Either option will put me back on my G-Shock which still works perfectly and does not need to be upgraded every few years.  Looking for positive options.

Hi @SunsetRunner  where did you see that there was no support? By the vary nature of having these forums, which are moderated, you have a wealth of resources for your Ionic. It's no longer being manufactured, but it is supported. Just because there are no current updates doesn't mean anything. Google has yet to finalize the purchase of Fitbit, although it looks to be approved, according to news articles. What's going on with your Ionic?
