OK..I too have been plagued with sync problems with my ionic...so I decided to play 🙂
I attach the phone to the computer and searched for fitbit...a directory called com.fitbit.FitbitMobile came up under Android\data\com.fitbit.FitbitMobile.
In there is a directory called cache....and in there were some .m files and a debug directory...the debug directory was empty..so I closed the fitbit app...copied the cache directory for safe keeping in case it screwed things up with the mobile app. And then deleted all the files in the cache directory just leaving the empty debug directory. Restarted the app and bingo, instant sync...so far there have been no new files written to the cache directory.
I have done several manual synchs and so far it hasnt failed 🙂
I love it when it works, wanna smash it with a hammer when t doesnt..fitbit..get it sorted!
Coincidence?
Cheers
Rob

For over a year, if the rrstart of the phone and tracket doesn't get a succesfull sync, I then will clear the fitbit's app cache through tgetphones settings .
No need for a pc or a file explorer on the phine.

Rich
I appreciate your reply but clearly that isnt happening.
I have been have failed synch and other synch issues for a while. If what you say is corrent why were there cached files present on my ionic? if what you say is correcy why didnt tgetphones delete them.
So, was it coincidence that when I manually deleted them, synch started working again?

We both fix our problem by clearing cache. I clear cache through the phone, you choose to do it through the PC.
Others on Android have found out the same thing . Coincidence?
