I love the design and feel of this new ionic watch but have issues with it and they cant seem to resolve. It seems the product was rushed out into the market. My blaze didn't exhibit these issues on a daily basis
1. Constantly looking for device - Not syncing properly
2. Sleep reading isn't accurate. How can you have a total of one and half hours of sleep when you sleep from 10:27pm till 6:30am the next day
Oh I love the weather app but would be really ideal and neat if it could be added to the watch face look
Anyone experiencing these issues?

Okay,
I did the counting test and counted 100 steps from this starting point ( 3,266 current steps)
after 100 steps i ended up with 3,366 steps ( which is an accurate step count).
I went an additional 100 steps( 200 total ) and ended up with 3,436 steps;
This was after rebooting the device. I will follow up with any issues if they arise again.

I have had my ionic since middle of Feb.2018. It continues to have problems. I was home sick Saturday and it counted almost 9,000 steps when all I did was watch tv. Sunday had a relaxing day and it recorded about 4,000 steps and that is probably close. Today Monday i went to drs office and Walgreens and slept and watched tv. Todays steps are over 13,000. My ionic is not syncing with my phone again. I spent 52 minutes on the phone and it is not working again. I called about this same issue a week ago having the same problem. That time they fixed it after spending an hr on phone. I am frustrated and mad about this situation. I wish I came to the community to see what problems people had. I had the alta and loved it, never had problems and I owned it for 2 years.

I agree with you. My ionic is so frustrating. It has a mind of its own. My alta worked great. I have talked to support and one day Windows 10 is supported the next time it is not. I have even had to turn on pc's and turn off the blue tooth, including turning off blue tooth on the 3 cell phones. This is madness. I can't return it because it is past the 30 days from the place I purchased it.

My heart rate and sleep readings are accurate, but some sort of virus, I think, found its way into my Ionic. Since this morning, everything has a greenish color and there are weird flashes of red on the screen. My main suspects are the apps Astrofit and Minitris, and the clock face TICKER. Anyone have the same problem?

I have syncing problems.
When I look at the ionic in my iPhone’s bluetooth, instead of saying connected, it cycles between looking, connected, looking, connected.
Fitbit has given me all sorts of advice. In the extreme, I open bluetooth to forget the device, shut off bluetooth, remove the ionic from the fitbit app, delete the app, and shut off the phone. I then restart my phone and the Ionic, turn on bluetooth, download t he app again, and then setup the Ionic as a new device.
At best the Ionic syncs for a day or two, at worst it doesn’t sync at all. Fitbit also has suggested I remove all other trackers from account – a charge 2 and a one, but that did not help.I do want to keep my other trackers connected to my account - I wear the charge 2 at night and the one when I want to use my garmin for a race.
My son has an Ionic and has no problems, my daughter-in-law has problems that are solved by restarting her phone.
I sent it back this morning

Hey @allan473. I found my ionic in looking mode as well after the last update, swiped to settings, about, scrolled down to shutdown, confirmed. Pressed left (home button) to restart. Still wasn't found so I went to settings on my mobile, bluetooth, switch off then back on then it connected.
Remember it isn't only a different ionic you are using; but also a different mobile 😉
Sorry to hear of your trouble, be sure to check forums for solutions too, we enjoy helping.

I have tried simple solutions, restarting, app, phone, or watch. Then Fitbit support had me turn bluetooth off then on. When those did not work, they told be to turn bluetooth off and then back on. Then they suggested forgetting the Ionic from bluetooth and the app and then setting it up again. Then, besides doing all those things they said to delete and then reinstall the app.
Finally, they said get rid of the one and charge 2 from the device. I told them I wasn't willing to do that as they advertise one can have several trackers on an account. (I tried that anyway but it made not difference.)
That got them to say I should send in the Ionic for a replacement. I think it will be a few weeks before I have the replacement. I sure hope it works.

Hi everyone and welcome to the new users!
Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences with the inconsistency when syncing, and all the details. I'm sure this will be helpful for other users as well. I'm aware that you probably already tried all the basic troubleshooting steps, however, it won't harm to take a look at all the information here about the requirements, and troubleshooting steps that could help to improve syncing.
In regards of the sleep inquiries I recommend checking this great article that might clarified what is happening.
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!

Fitbit took my Ionic and sent me another one - I have had it a week with no problems at all.
