Ionic time zone won't update

My ionic will not update to the current time zone regardless of how many times I try to sync.

The watch is useless if you can't get it to tell the correct time.

How do you make the watch show the correct time if syncing with with the app does not do it??

Thank you. I remember setting this up when I bought the watch. I just don't know, why every time the app is updated, the auto location and auto network zone settings get disabled.these settings should be on automatically, unless permission are denied.

Advanced settings in the mobile app has the "use network provided time" option. The web dashboard does not. You can either manually change the timezone in the web dashboard's settings or go to advanced settings in the mobile app and enable the use network provided time option.

No problem at all. I was a little confused so I can only assume that others might be as well.

This fixed it perfectly.  No need for resets or anything.  Just go into the app, select the "Account" screen, scroll down to "Advanced Settings" and activate the TIME ZONE Set Automatically dial, the sync.

Thanks!  It was already set that way so turned it off and turned it back on and synced and it worked!

As a frequent flier, I can assure you that the Ionic regularly fails to sync the time after flying to a different timezone.

I use all the tricks to get it to update...but I should not have to do anything.  Yes...I have all of the settings properly set.  This is unacceptable and Fitbit needs to actually fix this.

I find that complete shut down of the Ionic and then turning it back on seems to fix up the not syncing on time zone change; which I have only experienced travelling west to east (so could be a problem with more than 24 hours in a day). TO do full shutdown of Ionic:
>settings>About>Shutdown

Yes, shutting down and restarting devices will usually get them to sync their times and sync their times.  However, this is a workaround and not a solution .

I just flew from Charlotte to Chicago and the times did not sync even though the devices are talking to each other .  So, it is not specifically a direction of flight issue .

After travelling through four countries and nearly missing two flights (and trying all of the above ) I solved the issue : I bought an Apple Watch. It works without needing to log into web pages and bsnualkybupdare settings. It is also reliable - not a comment that I can make for the Ionic (loses exercises, stops heart rate ).

Lol...well, that certainly is one way around the issue. As long as it's solved! Good for you...rock on!

Unfortunatley, I am heading the way of a new watch too.  It is Christmas time after all...

Ironically, my timezone updated correctly, but the time refused to update until I shut-down my phone and Ionic and started them back up (a restart on the phone did not do it).  This was really confusing.

I cannot do my job if I doo not know what time it is.  Is Fitbit even looking at this?  My guess is, if no one wearing a Versa is making the same complaint Fitbit will make zero attempts to fix it.  The Ionic appears to be a dying device.

Hey there.  Go to advanced settings and turn off automatic time zone then turn it back on.  Then sync and you’ll be good to go.
