Ionic tracked 13,000 steps while on my dresser

At roughly 4:45am yesterday fitbit recorded almost 13k steps in a spike while I was sleeping and both my phone and my fitbit was on my dresser.

And I can't delete the steps because it doesn't show as a registered exercise session.  And this isn't the first time this has happened.

How do I fix this problem?
