Ionic turns off mid activity

My ionic is driving me nuts. It regularly turns off during an activity. Today I made an effort and kept looking at the screen. I noticed that it suddenly went to the Fitbit logo and then just ended the exercise. Any suggestions?

Exercise app like to crash from time to time. Known issue. Hasn't been fixed for many months. Solution - just get different watch. Worked for me.

I have the same issue--it has stopped during aerobics and even 5K runs! It's a pain but I just try and check it from time to time.
