Ionic update available.............

Hello All,

First, I have the Samsung Note 8 and I "updated my Ionic" and it went dark on me. I was able to get it running again but only for my eyes only. The other features did not work and I was 10 days without my Ionic. I did all my research and I got help from the Fitbit team. They told me that Samsung Note 8 no longer work with properly with the Ionic and I was totally stressed.

I purchased another Ionic at a discount price and it's working fine. My question is.......if I "Update Ionic available" will the new ionic go dark again? How long will it function without the new Ionic update?

Here's my problem, I have been a Fitbit user for over 6 years and I have friends that help me stay consistent and I don't want to go to another product and start over. FRIENDS help me stay accountable.

I hope my new Ionic will stay functioning without the new updates. Please share if anyone else is having this problem and let me know what you did.

Thanks!

Shawn  🙂

So much for that!?...........  "Update my IONIC" prompt came up again and I guess it's the Android OS 9.0 Pie program that is not allowing me to sync with my Fitbit. I will not be updating my phone soon so I hope Fitbit will figure this out. It's still working in the for my eyes only mode but I will miss having friends to chat with and I hope I can keep moving............... 😞

This is a sad day for me not having my FITBIT working!

@krushal8880I'm on Android 9 on a Sony and have noticed on App 3.12.1 I'm having to Force stop the App first thing in the morning which then allows me to sync my Ionic for the rest of the day.
