Ionic update problems!!

Hi 

I'm looking for a way to get my Ionic working again.

The watch was working perfectly until I tried to update the software. 

A couple of minutes into the update the Sync was lost and my watch got stuck with the 'Fitbit ' symbol on the face. 

Now I can't Sync, can't turn off. 

I've tried may forum suggestions. I have even allowed the battery to deplete so as to have the watch shut down and reboot, no luck. 

Without a Sync I can seem to be able to do much. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi people

Turns there is some kind of problem with the latest software update. 

I use an Android phone so it's not only IOS.

I called customer service today after four days of trying everything  The best they could do was to say they are working on it...  Meanwhile all I can see on my Ionic is the Fitbit logo!!  I should have  just ignored the update. 

So be careful!!

Do we have any progress on this?  My Ionic won't even pair with my device, I tried a factory reset and now it wont even connect

Be careful with update. My Ionic worked great until the update. Now its completely dead. It will not charge or do anything anymore. Fitbit wont do anything because my watch is past the warranty date other than give me a small discount on another one when it was their update that killed my tracker. I'm done with Fitbit and I'm looking at other brands.

@FERNAN67 you mention a software issue with your android app, but no mention of what the issue is? 

 

If you see the Fitbit logo, have you tried setting the ionic up as if it is new?

I had a update on my app for my Ionic so I let it update. After my Ionic
was updated It wouldn't turn on without doing a hardstart on it. I could
only get it to turn on twice before it flashed twice and died. It was at 47
% battery when I turned it on for the last time. Now it won't charge at
all. I've cleaned contacts with alcohol,changed outlets, plugged it to a
computer and so far nothing works. I contacted customer service,done all
there trouble shooting and they said I would just have to replace it.

Hey Rich 

No matter what I try I cant get it to work . yes I have tried to sync as a new device. The Issue is that the software update causes the Ionic to freeze and nothing you do will get it to work .

So it seems a lot of people are having problems with their watches. Myself included. So what is FitBit doing about it ??!!?? 

I would imagine it must be a public relations nightmare and hurtful to the company image!

So why has FitBit not come out with some kind of news or fix the problems!!?? 

Or am I the only one with approval watch problems??

I sussesfull updated my ionic but I got a big problem bellow. 😞 😞

After successfull update this firmware, I used my fibit ionic normal arround 04 hours. When I waked up on the morning, My ionic won't turn on.

I see on my fitbit It's still sync to 2:22AM. I think have some problem with this firmware affect to my ionic!!!!
