I tried all the tricks they stated and only ended up with sore fingers. I made a modification that worked.
Phase 1
1) tape the left and right top button down, DO NOT TAPE Bottom right button
2) press bottom right until it lights up and let it go when it goes dark.
3) wait seconds and repeat. I was on my phone when I heard the vibration.
4) remove tape
Phase 2
Red X
1) delete ionic in Bluetooth and in Fitbit app
2) Restart phone
3) open Fitbit app and add ionic (make sure you have it plugged to cable and Wi-Fi ready.
