Hi All,
I purchased an Ionic back in June of 2018. I’ve been very happy with it and have had no issues until yesterday. After washing my hands, the watch abruptly shut down with 60% power. There is obvious condensation on the sensors on the underside of the watch.
I put it in rice and called customer service. After getting mostly canned responses to my questions, I now seem to be stuck with a defective watch. Even if the rice trick works, that won’t change the fact that my “waterproof” watch isn’t waterproof anymore. Shouldn’t a 250$ watch last more than a year and 10 months? Are there any other options for me?
Thanks

@Toad5400 Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for getting in touch about your Ionic showing condensation on the sensors. I appreciate that you mentioned you've contacted our Support team.
Rest assure that each case is reviewed individually and the option provided is based in the Fitbit Warranty. If you have any questions about the option you were given, you could reply back to the case that you have and they will be happy to answer your inquiries.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

The option given was a 20% off coupon if purchasing a new Fitbit product. Ok, but it doesn’t address the issue of a faulty product. The default fallback for moderators, based on other threads in the community, is the warranty. Yes, I am out of my warranty and I understand that. But products that do not perform as advertised and the lack of a real solution from FitBit is simply driving your customers away.
