Ionic will not charge

Hello Forum,  my Ionic also has stopped charging,  I am so disappointed.  I previously had a Fitbit One that I was happy with and so the upgrade to the  Ionic made sense.  It will not register sleep properly although the 'One' was very accurate.

My challenge though is that it has stopped charging and after trying restart and the choice of various USB ports and chargers it simply looses charge - it was at 15% when I plugged it in.  It had the whole morning charging and was then down to 13% and after two restarts and more USB changes it is down to 11%

I wonder what extra advice anyone has - is there any useful feedback from the Fitbit Moderator?

Thanks

Russell

Hi Wendy,

Thanks so much - you are my new best friend !! I had tried the restart a
few times, and also plugging into alternate USB ports and jacks but with
no luck. Although the charging points looked clean (the tracker is only a
couple of months old) your trick of cleaning the terminals seems to have
worked (I borrowed some nail varnish remover from a colleague) .

This morning the tracker was back up working 🙂

I work in a remote mining camp far up in the Russian Arctic circle for 6
weeks at a time, so there was no opportunity to pop into the shop I
purchased it in Canada for another month and a half until I am off - so a
big thank you

best regards
