Ionic will not sync

I have had my Ionic for eight months and it has worked flawless with the app. However, recently I changed phone from iPhone6 to Huawei mate pro 20 and have had problems with syncing ever since. It autosyncs sporadic, sometimes once a day sometimes more. when I try to force sync it cannot find the Ionic. I have tried all the solutions suggested with restarting the watch, reinstalling the app, etc and it doesn't work

Is the device you are trying to sync to a supported device?
