Ionic will only work on charger

Yesterday my ionic started doing crazy step counting (going up by 10 steps a second) so I searched through the forums and changed the clock face and did a reset.  It seemed to stop the counting, but by that time I had lost 40% of my battery life due to the crazy step counting and it died right after. When I went to charge it it powered right up, and I left it on the charger for 2 hours but as soon as it is removed from the charger it powers off.  Tried 2 different chargers, nothing has worked.

Edited to add:  I have tried all the tips posted in https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1190

i have tried a factory  reset but nothing happens, also my ionic when plugged in will show a battery of 0%. Never anything higher. And it doesn’t vibrate when plugged in.
