I've loaded music onto my Ionic, paired my Apple AirPods and my Beats Studio 2.0's.
Bluetooth works fine, connects and plays music. However with the Apple AirPods when trying to adjust the volume nothing happens. Lucky enough the volume is *loud enough* for biking/running but would be better louder IMO. Beats adjust volume just fine no issues.
A fix for this would be nice.

A warm welcome to the Community @iJosh! Currently, Ionic cannot control the volume on Apple Airpods.
You may want to post your idea in our Feature Suggestion board, those are viewed by our engineers and developers and the best of this is that people can vote and comment on it.
Hope this helps!

Seems like a major oversight by Fitbit. Any news on when this will be fixed?

It's great to have you here @PEG38! Currently, I don't have any news about Fitbit Ionic working with Apple Airpods about controlling the volume.
Thanks for your understanding!

You're telling us that we can sync bluetooth headsets, but can't set the volume? What?!?!

Me: ... nope, they seem to be stuck at less than max volume.I tried to max them out on the iPhone to see if they have "memory". But they seem to cap at a much lower volume than e.g. the iPhone max volume
Support: Thanks for confirming. After investigating with my support team, we found that our engineers are already aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. The issue as you asked mentioned before will be resolved with the next update.
Boom!

the 2.0 software is just updated few days ago and the problem isn't solved. I can pair my airpods but the volume is very low. too low. Do you have any feedback from the developers?

This issue is still not solved..... my Ipods worked for 18 months and after I upgraded the firmware 3 weeks ago they stopped working for volume control. On hold now for 20 minutes with customer service suggesting I just wait for new firmware.... with no ETA.
I'm going to buy an apple watch.

No - not really. My guess is ionic crossed a boundary with apple and the capability to change volume was a proprietary and it was removed..... it is no longer available...... unless you buy the ionic headphones.
