Ionic won't accept pin

For no apparent reason my Ionic won't accept my PIN/passcode that I have used for years.  Numerous forced shutdowns by holding 2 buttons achieved nothing. Tried re-setting the PIN from the mobile app and got "Change PIN Failed. Sorry, there was a problem changing your Device Lock PIN. Please re-enter your existing PIN to continue." When I did that it said "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."

Right now my Ionic is merely a watch/step counter 😞

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To further investigate and so we can move on, can you please send me a picture or a screenshot of the error messages you receive at the moment you try to change the device's pin?

This method will clear the vault & any stored PIN for previously stored sessions. ... App screenshots won't work on Android 10 devices using gesture navigation if ... A handler that will receive events any time the vault is configuration is changed.

Success was only short-lived 🙄

Put it on my wrist this morning and it will not accept my PIN again.

I may have to go over to the dark side - Santa might be giving me an Apple Watch 3 if this issue persists.

Mine is doing that right now! Went to shop and failed to open as my passcode didn't work to unlock it!! 

Came home to my phone and it keeps saying 'error connecting to ionic'! What to do!! It started when I put my new card in!!
