I have had my Ionic for almost a year and the past 4-5 months I have been dealing with slow syncing or syncing failures and my watch losing up to 25 minutes from the current time. I am basically to the point of saying that I will never buy another FitBit device. For a "smart" watch to not be "smart" enough to keep time is, in my estimation, a catastrophic failure. Shoot if my smart watch can't keep time the only thing that it apparently is good for is counting steps. That is an expensive step counter. Maybe I ought to just go back to a regular watch or get a "smart" watch that is actually "smart" enough to keep the time.
I should not have to do a factory reset of my watch to make sure that it keeps time. I am very frustrated and basically feel like I spent ~$250 dollars for a plastic bracelet. Come on FitBit.

YOu shouldn't, but you probably will have to. Moving to a new phone a couple of days ago my Ionic wpuldn't auto sync. Manual sync within the app was fine. I FORCE STOPed the app on my phone - have you done this?
This often fixes syncing issues.
I had to unpair from the app and factory reset the Ionic twice before automatic syncing worked. The second time I even uninstalled the app - but don't see how this helped. Now its as good as it was on the previous phone.
Further info. See other recent threads regarding these issues, or do a thread search for many more.

Hi @leaajo, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here, I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you. Let me share with you that our Fitbit devices use the mobile device information to display the time with the syncing process, therefore, by simply syncing your Ionic it should display the time that’s configured on your phone. That said, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.
Then, you can move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
@PaulMe Thanks for your help and the troubleshooting steps that were shared.
Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.
