Ionic won't pair with bluetooth earbuds

I have a Fitbit Ionic and a pair of Soundpeats Q9A Bluetooth earbuds.  I paired the unit when I first got my Ionic and was able to use them together 1 time.  The Ionic will not pair with the Q9A anymore.  I have restarted the Ionic and the Q9A.  I am able to connect the Q9A to my phone with no issues at all.  The Ionic will "sin" in pairing mode until Q9A times out.  The reason I purchased the Ionic was to have access to music WITHOUT carrying my phone during workouts.  Suggestions?
