hello all,
Since buying the ionic 2 weeks ago I've been nothing but disappointed, i have a s9+ and the bluetooth connection from the ionic to the samsung is terrible i had an alta before this and i have no issues whatsoever! Takes about 3-5 hours to register any steps, excise ect unless i turn the all day sinc off and back on again.
Any help would be appreciated i feel like i missing something obvious.
Think i may just settle on sending it back soon, so much potential but it's been out for a while now so these issues shouldn't be happening
Anyway to the main point, i don't receive text or call notifications on my ionic, a call came up once in the first week and never again, it's connected, all day sinc and the notifications are on both on my fitbit and my phone, tried uninstalling the app and that hasn't worked, my phones on vibrate or loud so they should be coming through, my alta is still connected but I've disabled all notifications on that and the all day sinc,

Notifications has never been stable on the Ionic. You are not alone.
A few things I do is restart the app and also the Ionic when notifications seem to stop working. You can also try to send a Test Call Notification from the fitbit app for a peace of mind testing. Also, when the Ionic is syncing, notifications will be delayed.
One obvious thing, check if Notifications are turned off on your Ionic. Long press the left button. Sometimes I found I accidentally disabled it.

Hello guys, it's a pleasure to provide assistance with this notifications concern. Welcome to the Community Forums @Dean91. Also, it's nice to see you again participating @asiayeah, welcome back.
@Dean91 Seems odd that you're experiencing connection difficulties with your Samsung Galaxy S9+, even more when this specific mobile device is supported with our products and services, thanks for trying some troubleshooting steps prior to posting here. For the syncing situation, I recommend you to check our help article: How do Fitbit devices sync their data? for more information about how this procedure works and to check if there's no missing requirement that's preventing your Ionic to be synced. Also, you can try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?.
For the notifications concern, can you please let me know if you're not receiving notifications at all or just receive some of them? For example, you receive text notifications but not call and vice versa? I recommend you to check in the Bluetooth settings if your previous Fitbit Alta is still connected because this can affect the Bluetooth connection between your Ionic and mobile device. In the meantime I receive your answers, please check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? for more information and details about this specific feature. Same for you @asiayeah if you're experiencing the same situation. Thanks for the suggestions that were shared in your post.
I'll be around if anything else is needed, let me know if both of you have any additional questions.
