Hi,

I'm experiencing strange sync issues with my ionic and I was hoping I could get some help with it.

As you can see from the above pictures. The app seems to be collecting data from my watch throughout the day as the steps, calories etc. all update and reflect what I see on my watch, however when I click into the watch it says last synced was yesterday when I first linked the phone and watch. The issue is when the date changes all the information collected today is whipped as if the watch didn't sync all day. On top of this sleep data is not collected and activity needs to be added manually.

I've tried all the usual steps fitbit advise (restarting the app, reinstalled app, reboot phone and watch, even factory reset) my phone is a Samsung s8 which is compatible. So I'm really struggling to figure out what the issue could be.

Any help in this issue is appreciated.

Hey there @LeeEnnis, it's nice to see you around the forums! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenience, nice way to go! Woman Very Happy Also, thanks for the picture you sent.

While reading your post I was wondering about 2 things. First one, have you made sure that your Fitbit Ionic is still linked to your account? and second one, have you been using only the S8 to sync your Ionic? Have you tried using a different mobile device or computer at the same time? If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it. For more information, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync to another phone or computer?

If your Ionic is still paired to your account and you keep having syncing issues, please try the following one more time:

  1. Force quit and then reopen the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off, wait 10 seconds, and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit Ionic didn't sync, restart it
  5. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. If still no luck, check this helpful article for more details.

Also, try this:

This should help you out. Please try the above steps.
