Ionic won't sync with iPhone or computer

Was very excited to replace my HR2 with the Iconic, however now I'm regretting every second I've wasted on getting the Iconic to work.  It worked for about one week, then went downhill after I tried to change my clock face; now my iconic won't connect to my computer nor my iPhone.  I've reset the watch, I've removed and reinstalled the app from my computer and my iPhone.  Both devices see the Iconic in bluetooth, but the app never finds the device.

I've reset the watch 3 more times today and still can't connect.  Suggestions?

Hi, The fitbit is syncing now but very slowly. Previously to the update it would sync without having to refresh and would also sync very quickly. Now it is a quite slow process (the syncing bar across the top of the screen taking a long time)

  1. I have spent two hours with Fitbit support and no one can help me. Every time IOS updates on iPhone it mess up my Ionic. For such an expensive smart watch it sure isn’t  the money

@Caloby Welcome to the Fitbit family! Don't feel like that! I'm sure your Ionic will work properly after trying these workarounds:

    • Reset Bluetooth (turn it off, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on).
    • Log out from the Fitbit App, reboot your phone, log back in to the app.

Also, check this helpful article in which you will find more troubleshooting steps and details regarding this. This should certainly help you out with this.

That worked! Thank you. Like someone else mentioned, this started when I flew to and from a different time zone.

@ADukes Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for trying those steps. I'm very glad to hear that they helped you out.

Yes, this happens sometimes when you change location/time zone. However, it can be fixed easily. Hopefully, this will be helpful for other users too.

Also, take a look at the Discussions Board as you will find a lot of interesting things there. Feel free to post on any thread you want. If you are looking for Fitbit friends to compete with on challenges, check this thread to add some!

I also had to resort to having the device replaced by the reseller after Fitbit was unable or unwilling to replace it. This Ionic is my fourth Fitbit and every one of them had had problems. Not a company that inspires loyalty. I now have the problem with non-synching with this device and have already arranged by phone to have it replaced by the reseller. My impression of Fitbit as a company is that they rush things to market before adequate product testing.

@MasonFlem Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you have had so far with Ionic. Thanks for contacting customer support in order to sort this out. It's unfortunate to read they couldn't help. What steps did you tried?

I'd recommend trying all of these syncing troubleshooting steps in order to sort this out. This should help you out with this.

If you keep experiencing the same after trying those steps; please feel free to let customer support know about that so they can provide other steps in order to sort this out.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

My ionic refuses to sync with iPhone app now. Been working fine but not now. I have tried all your steps suggested and not working. As I flew yesterday I have a watch that is 7 hours different to actual time.

I think that the Fitbit doesn't actually have a clock in it but depends on
the watch to which it is synced. For me, once my Ionic goes belly up, the
time feature is like a rudderless ship as it slowly dies, losing all
functionality.
