Ionic quit sync' after 04/04/21
troubleshoot "fixes" tried to reinstall fitbit app on google play
app won't install now even though it was installed for 2 years fine
tried iPad app installs and fitbit ionic shows as connected after pairing, but the fitbitty won't sync
even tried to upgrade to premium but still no sync
first fitbit died one week past warranty on Swedish hike purchased in USA but warranty only one year Euro peep get two year
now the fitbit just won't sync
five hours of frustration with troubleshioting this to no avail
i have restarted it 15 plus times
frustration with a capital F
anyone want to suggest a reliable alternative?
or should i just use my phone and a free app that downloads fine on google play
it might not tell me my beats per minute but at least it will log my steps for free why will this free app install and FitBit not do shhhhhh ...?

I recommend checking if your watch is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update my Fitbit device?
