My ionic suddenly turned off and it was on at least 80%. I tried opening it by holding the buttons in case it was turned off but that failed. I put it in the charger but it still failed. It's been in the charger scince 5:00 GB time.

It's failed.. If it's older than 12 months you will need to purchase a new one. I had 4 die, including my wife's in 13 months... The Ionic is faulty by design. Fitbit would not stand behind my Ionic because they said it was a few months out of warranty. Luckily for me, Amazon felt like I was wronged by fitbit and refunded me even after I had the watch for 14 months or so...
Trust me, your watch is toast unfortunately..
