Ionic won't turn on

I had a near full charge and noticed screen was black. Can't get it to turn on, won't sync, attaching to charger does nothing.

Welcome back @GGreekggod. Thanks for the details mentioned and for attaching it to the charging cable.

I would like you to confirm you've tried different USB ports while charging it and you can try restarting it too.

Let me know the outcome.

There really is no need for that since it had a nearly full charge before quitting an hour after I last looked at it. I did try a different charger but not cord since I only have the one. I can't restart it if it won't turn on. Thanks for your wonderful help. :smiley indifferent <-- I see emojis work great too.

My second Ionic just quit.  Two Ionics quitting in about 1.5 years.  Obviously it is an inferior product.  My last one has same exact issue as the one you are describing.  Contacted Fitbit support and I can buy another one at a "discount".  I gave support multiple chances to make it right.  I offered to send both back to them so they can investigate and confirm that they were not abused and just had normal usage.

Inferior product.  Spread the word.  DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Agree.  I have had two fail in less than two years.  I was offered to buy a replacement at a "discounted" rate this last time.  Why the heck would I spend money on a product that I expect to fail?

I asked for a replacement at no cost so they can prove it was just a fluke.  Not an unreasonable request.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

Mine died the beginning of the month after about 20 months of life... black screen, not charging at all, no green HR light. I contacted Fitbit and due to it being as "old" as it was (old... *insert eyeroll*), they were only able to offer me a small discount.

I'm still weighing my options on which wearable I'm going to purchase next... I'm torn, I loved my Ionic, but I'm not too happy with the lifespan... upon my research, this situation is not uncommon. 18 months seems to be the average life of these watches...

Please stop with these ridiculous troubleshooting requests.  I bent over backwards troubleshooting mine.  I have two fail in less than two years.  I was offered a replacement at a "discount".  These are not inexpensive devices.  A replacement at no charge for Fitbit to prove two failing was a fluke seems like a reasonable request.

Maybe if we contact Apple, they’ll offer us a 40% discount on a product that lasts longer than 12-18 months. Thoughts?

I gave my Apple Watch to my wife when I went to the Ionic.  Regret that decision.

Looks like I am may have to go back to Apple Watch.  Unless, Fitbit does the right thing.

Thinking this might be the answer.   And their “discount” they are offering.  Watch is backordered until 8/16.

My Ionic is 14 months old. Last week it died (black screen with a full charge).  Will not turn on or charge. Fitbit offered me a 25% Discount on another Ionic but I will never buy another Fitbit product. A $300 watch should last longer than slightly over a year, which by the way, is 2 months beyond the warranty - how convenient.

I’m having the same problem my Fitbit is only 6 months old, I’ve tried different USB ports and it won’t turn on or charge, it won’t even restart ???

Today I bought an Apple watch to replace my 14 month old “dead as a door nail” Ionic. Will never buy another Fitbit product.
