my ionic was working fine. At 6am sounded the alarm, I woke up... and just when I was ready to start my workout and set the sport in my ionic, the screen turned black and doesn’t work anymore. Literally it died suddenly. I had it since July 2018, not sure if 2 years is a good lifetime for a smartwatch, but I’m disappointed of the way it lasted. A new fit bit worth it?

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation
Looking forward to your reply.

Your reply is appreciated @SunsetRunner.
I’m sorry to know that you’re still experiencing difficulties with your device despite trying the troubleshooting steps from my previous post. That being said, I recommend you to try the below steps to factory reset your device and let me know if the issue persists:
Just keep in mind that a factory reset procedure erases stored data, including the stats that were not synced to your Fitbit account. Also, applications installed, music downloaded, alarms, etc.
Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

Did you perhaps make the mistake of doing the latest update? It has bricked a number of Ionics, apparently, including mine. Judging from the “customer support” emails I’ve gotten, none of which work or are helpful, BTW, Fitbit hasn’t a clue about what THEY’VE done to kill our trackers.
