I just got this for christmas. . Never had this problem with the charge 2.. can't beleive the cost of this thing and the solution given is unistall and reinstall? ? For real, am i to do this everyday? Is there an actual fix coming? Why will it not sync? I am really wanting to just take it back to the store. Sucks as it can do so much... if it worked,that is...Help.

Have you tried doing a soft reset of your phone? I have found that I need to do that every so often and it has fixed my syncing issues on my Ionic.

@Kim.m, uninstalling and reinstalling should not be necessary for syncing the tracker.  On the occasions that mine has not synced, I have found that doing simple things like opening the phone's Bluetooth settings and Forgetting the tracker, and then closing the settings will cause it to sync.  Others have reported turning off the phone's WiFi will allow it to sync.

Got excited that shutting down wi fi could be the answer. That did not work. Tried again to remove as a connected bluetooth devise.. now it can not find it at all. Even left the house so no other devises would interfere. 😞

Have you tried resetting the device itself?  Just hold down the left and bottom right buttons for about 10 seconds and you should see the Fitbit logo appear.  That means that it has successfully restarted.  I've also heard that sometimes a factory reset can be performed by holding down all 3 buttons at the same time, however, I've never tried this as I have never needed to perform a factory reset.

Let me know if you find anything that works. I purchased wireless headset and the horible pandora subscription to get the most out of this thing m. I would hate to take it back.

@Kim.mWhat kind of phone?

In a couple of other threads, I suggested people (with Android, probably an iOS equivalent) reset their radio-stack, it's usually under "Backup & Restore", in most Android varieties.

This resets ALL your radios, and removes ALL Bluetooth, Cell, WiFi, NFC, and other radio settings, but it also removes any "latent" device entries, which might be causing this.

If this works, I'd wait on the headset, for Fitbit to release an update/fix for BT. I think they have a problem with Multipoint BT on the Ionic, so connecting headphones to it will likely cause a sync issue, again.

Multipoint with multiple devices works fine for me, so you can have multiple devices (I have a PC, tablet and phone) that sync to the Ionic, but the headphones seem to be "iffy".

Mine won't work either. Taking back today most likely. What good is this if it won't sync to the app. Horrible.

Thank you for the advise, however,if infact the headset is an issue i will be taking it back as the ability to run and listen to music without my phone is the main reason i wanted this one.  Disapponted. .for sure 😞

I may just switch to apple and the apple watch which would do more than this and i wouldnt have to use pandora.
