Ionilc Screen failing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Woke up this morning to my Ionic's screen paled, grainy and cutting in and out.

After rebooting my Ionic I placed it on the charger.

The screen came back, but not to factory specs. As the day has gone on, it has gotten progressively worse. The screen is almost illegible.

I tried to attach pictures and video, bit I wasn't able to.

Please let me know what direction I should go with this.

Thank you.

This happened to both of my Ionics and unfortunately this means it's failed and getting ready to be toast.  If you are under warranty and not past the 12 months call fitbit now and get a replacement.  If you're out of warranty they will ask you to purchase a new on and give you a discount.  I didn't not like their option and was very upset about it.  I ended up on giving up on the Ionic and any other expensive watch that fitbit sells moving forward.

Seriously though,  if the screen is doing that I have found this to be from water damage frying the circuit board, this is common with the Ionics unfortunately and they typically won't make it to their warranties. I got Amazon to refund me even after 14 months once I told them that fitbit wasn't going to help me.  I'm very sorry you're going through this with such an expensive watch it's really really frustrating I know.

Just what I feared.  Support had me do hard reset even after I emailed them pics of my “fizzled” screen.  Now the screen is just black and I can’t see the setup number to connect my freshly factory reset ionic. At least I could have used it until the screen gave out had I know it would be rendered useless after the update.
