I’m hoping someone can help. I updated my ionic to 70.7.14 a few days ago and it’s been problematic since.
The battery now drains whilst it is switched off. Charged it to 100% before bed and then switched it off (I only wear it when exercising) and it was completely dead in the morning.
Charged to 100% last night and again switched off... 35% when I switched it on this morning.
Charged again after bike ride to 100%, switched it off and just just checked on it a few hours later and it’s at 85%.
how is it losing so much charge when switched off?
In addition, it now doesn’t show the correct time when switched on. I have to sync with the app.
Switching it on takes and age too - using just the left button doesn’t seem to work any more and I have to press all of them for God knows how long.
Please tell me there is an easy fix for this, as it’s getting to be

Thank you for the info about holding down all three buttons. I’m Fitbit finally had activity and is being recognized by the app.

I've had so many issues since this update. The battery not only drains rapidly but its no longer recording my heart rate correctly at all which has an effect on the other stats. I've contacted FitBit who have been quite unhelpful, saying its a known issue but gave no indication that its being dealt with. Not sure if anyone else has had any feedback on solutions? Other than reset it all, which does not work.

If you read the final answer to the pinned post about firmware 70.7.14, Fitbit made it clear that they don't intend to fix this issue or release any further firmware updates for the Ionic. If that's not a correct interpretation, they haven't challenged it in any feedback on these forums.
Essentially, if you own an Ionic, you're abandoned.
If you updated to 70.7.14, you're screwed.
Which is why I gave up two months ago and bought a Garmin, from a company that stands by its customers. I don't like the watch as much - the UI is far less polished - but I'm not willing to support Fitbit any longer.

Thank you for your reply. I actually have a Versa but the exact same issue nevertheless...when I did the update.
I've only had the watch since November 2019 so this is incredibly disappointing to hear, the customer service i've experienced with FitBit has been dreadful. I've essentially been left with a piece of useless tech that i've wasted money on!

I would demand a replacement sent out. It's still within it's warranty!
