Fitbit app not syncing with Ionic. I have unpaired the Ionic from the app, then paired the ionic to the app again. The app then synced correctly once, but now it does not sync.

Hey there @Dacian, it's nice to see you here! Thanks for already troubleshooting this syncing issue, nice way to go!
While reading your post, I was wondering if you could provide us with the exact model of the phone you're syncing with? Have you made sure that it's included in our list of supported devices? Note that the devices on this list have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone meets the minimum operating system requirements. Also, it would be great if you take a look at the article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
If your phone is totally compatible, my first thought is that your Ionic might be no longer paired to your Fitbit account and that's why it's not syncing or connecting to your phone's Bluetooth. In order to solve this, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Ionic and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device".
Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.
Hope this does the trick, keep us posted!

Try telling the phone to "forget" the Ionic and then re-pair it with the phone. That usually works for me.

I'm afraid that this is the reason why your tracker is not syncing now @Dacian. As mentioned above, since your phone is not officially supported, we don't guarantee that the functionality will be always successfully.
Additionally, due to Bluetooth issues that prevent Huawei Lite models, including P8 and P9 Lite, from syncing with some devices, like Fitbit devices, our products are not compatible with these mobile phones. See: Which phone and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?
Hope this clarifies what's happening, let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.

I have the same phone, and the same problem. Still haven't got a solution 😞
Fitbit says that they are "aware" of the problem... but they aren't doing anything to help the Huawei users out... The only thing you can do is buy a divice that is compatible with the Ionic....

I totally understand your point @BartvandenHof! Thank you for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.
We don't want to create frustration in our customers. Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.
But... if you want, we can try some steps that have worked for my sister. She owns a Huawei which is not yet a supported device, but she has tried the following (which I think won't hurt if you try that as well) and she made it:
1. Your phone must not be set to "visible for other devices"
2. Your phone must not be "searching for other devices"
If either of these two things are active, the Fitbit cannot connect.
In other words, you have to set it to invisible, and you have to click the stop button if it is searching for devices. So, Bluetooth should be on, but not doing anything at all in the Bluetooth menu. Then force quit the Fitbit app and it'll sync. At least it has done with my sister's phone for over a month or so. Give this a shot, I'm crossing my fingers.
Please be aware that if you cannot connect your tracker to your phone, this is due to the incompatibility between your phone and your Ionic.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you!

i've already tried all of these "tips" but none of them work...
Like i said earlier.. Fitbit is not doing enough to help the costumer.
how long should it take to make a Ionic compatible with all Android phones?
Fitbit is made in China and so is Huawei. A quick phonecall should do the trick i think..
fitbit could be the marked-leader in sportsmartwatches if they would just take a little more effort in developmand. But instead they make a "new" charge 3.
I'm thinking of returning my Ionic "addidas editon" and get a full refund.
i'm realy dissapointed in Fitbit..
I'm not even angry, but just sad..
