I think it would be a great feature for Fitbit to be able to convert a bike ride into steps. I am always into challenges and this would help keep the steps going while you are doing a bike ride. The movements of the pedaling would be similar to running so why not?

I can't understand why so many users are so obsessed with steps at the point to wear the watch in the ankle when doing elliptic or complaining that when swimming the watch doesn't measure steps (!).

I think more interesting parameters provided by Fitbit are the active minutes and the calories burned during the day, both parameters are very efficient to better understanding how really active you are.
