Switching to kid view last night the app froze and then kicked me out to the login page. When I tried to log in with profile details I received message that details were incorrect. I tried re-register my watch using same email etc hoping all would sync up but I have lost all history. Anyone else had issue or advice?

It sounds like you accidentally created another account and therefore logged into the wrong Fitbit Dashboard, this is why you're no longer seeing your data. Please log out from your account and make sure you will logged into the correct one. You could double check the date you joined by tapping on your profile picture.
