Lost Half a Day

Hi all,

New Fitbit user here. I have a Ionic and sync only to a iPhone 8. Yesterday was my first day with the Ionic. I did a run in the morning which logged about 4000 steps and then went to the office where I synced the Ionic with my phone so I could upload the run into my companies website for our health tracking benefits.

After that sync I got another 6000 steps in; the Ionic let me know when I hit 10K for the day last night. Now when I sync, the next calendar day, yesterdays post sync 6k steps are not showing up in the phone app. Nor are they showing on my FitBit site dashboard.

Does the sync mechanism "close" the day after syncing? In other words did I loose the 6k steps after that first sync because I synced early in the day?

Try to force sync it once again by pulling down the main screen of the app.

Thanks for the suggestion but that did not work. Ultimately, after an hour on the phone with support trying all sorts of things, I had to "Replace Device" on my phone. We tried that two times and finally realized that the Ionic had to be charging to make a connection to my iPhone.

Again this afternoon I'm not able to sync and just before trying to "Replace this device" again, I placed the Ionic on the charger and it synced. It certainly appears that my Ionic will not sync if the charge is below 70%.

I'll call support again this afternoon to determin if this is a known issue; I cannot find anything in this forum with my scenario. If this happens again tomorow it's back to the place of purchase and I'll keep looking for a device to track runs and miles on the bike.
