Multiple Interval Timers

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got the Ionic and I want to set multiple intervals with different lengths of move and rest.  When I tap the "+ Add'' button, it's greyed out and I cannot set different intervals.  This is one of the main reasons why I bought the smartwatch and I need it for the different types of obstacle course trainings I'm currently doing. I'd prefer to not have to use my phone to set different timers.

Hi @JohnHanc,

Are you using the default Interval app with the Ionic? It only supports one interval setting at a time.

There are third party Interval apps?

I have been looking but cannot find any, where do you find this app please?

I've tried one from the app store called HIIT, and I believe there are others also under Health & Fitness.

HIIT doesn't have the ability to do different multiple intervals.

for my workout i need to do 3 sets, and each set has 3 different HIIT workouts, the last being a 60 second timer needed.  but i don't see the ability to do this type of customization on any of the apps for timers...

here is one of my HIIT workouts:

Total Body Triple Set #1

    • Twisted Bird Dog Planks - 30 Seconds

    • Dumbbell Jump Squats - 30 Seconds

    • CARDIO: 60 Seconds of Jump Rope

REST BRIEFLY (25-30 seconds or less)

Total Body Triple Set #2

    • Bear Crawl - 30 Seconds

    • Alternating Dumbbell Clean and Presses - 30 Seconds

  • CARDIO: 60 Seconds of Jump Rope

REST BRIEFLY (25-30 seconds or less)

Total Body Triple Set #3

    • Burpees - 30 Seconds

    • Dumbbell “Ground Pound” Rows - 30 Seconds

  • CARDIO: 60 Seconds of Jump Rope

REST BRIEFLY (25-30 seconds or less)

Yes, that's a bit more complex than what's currently available.

Fitbit folks, can we make this a feature request?  I've owned a Charge2 and now a Versa and neither of them have this function, either.  Seems to me most of the logic is already in the OS ... it is just a matter of adding a submenu to the Interval workout in the Exercise app to choose a setting, and a configuration interface in the phone app to define the intervals.

This seems to me a no-brainer ... I'd like to use the interval timer for both yoga sequences and circuit weight training ... I'm sure the crossfit folks could find this very helpful, too.

Multiple interval timers would be a great addition, and surely must be very easy to implement.   Freebie apps for iphone, etc., all have this feature.     Fitbit developers, if you are listening, please put this on your list.     I'm a Versa user.
