Hi,

Generally have loved my ionic hardware, but have been frustrated with the software. Eagerly anticipated the latest firmware update. Here are some problems: Syncing - syncs first time and then either not at all or sporadically, so there are no notifications. That's annoying. 2nd, now the Auto Wake will not turn off at night (or ever) when I need to sleep. since the new format of getting to the auto wake and notifications screen it will not turn off Auto, notifications turns off, but that is unreliable anyway. The weather app is terrible, as you choose three cities and it then updates and gives you the weather, and then the next day it just doesn't update. The maps app is junk - DOES NOT WORK. Never has, I gave up on it. I'm fairly disappointed in Fitbit programming. Not enough attention? Trying to do everything, but doing nothing right? Get it together Fitbit I paid a lot of money for this device. This is NOT okay. And these issues are not the only ones, I just can't recall them all right now...

Ok....Erm have you tried a restart or a factory reset? If those options don’t work,I would delete 5e Fitbit from my account,Factory reset it,and set it up again. Secondly,The maps app is not made/endorsed by Fitbit. You can complain to the developer.

Hope this helped!

@AdenR Re your sync issues post update, I’d definitely recommend a restart to clear the Ionic. Other than that, I’m assuming you’re on Android, so I’m not able help much, as I’m currently running iOS.

Regarding the screen auto wake, a long press of the left button will bring up the option to change it from auto to manual. You might need to swipe right to left to navigate to the option. I’ve Fitbit Pay enabled and the long press initially brings up my credit card. However swiping left to right brings up music controls and right to left the screen wake option. Then just tap on Auto to change it to Manual.

The weather app needs a sync connection with your phone to update. If you’ve turned off all day sync (or whatever the Android equivalent) then it will only update when an active sync connection is made.

Maps, er yes. Not a Fitbit app and pretty disappointing. I’ll say no more other than who really needs a map app on a 300 x 300 pixel square screen?

I’m very happy with my Ionic and find it to be pretty reliable on the whole, especially post update.
