Music App Won't Load

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

I recently loaded music onto my Ionic using the Win 10 Fitbit app. This all worked fine, and according to my Fitbit I have 500mb free.

However, when I now try to open the Music app on my ionic, it shows the music splash screen for a few seconds and then disappears and can't get into the actual app.

I have done a restart of the device and still having this occur.

Thanks

Mark

Hey there @MR0808, it's nice to see you around here! Thanks for already restarting your Ionic in order to sort this out, nice way to go!

Please check if the app has a pending update. For instructions, see How do I install and manage apps on my Fitbit watch?

Also, I'd like you to confirm if the steps below were the ones you followed to properly perform the restart on your Ionic:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your Fitbit Ionic doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

Looking forward to your response!

Hi,

Thanks for that. I have followed all the steps and still not getting the music app to work. It still just hangs on the Music splash screen for a few seconds and then nothing.

Cheers

Hi I got my device five days ago. I wasted hours to try install the firmware. The installation took more than an hour only to fail after it has finished. I could resolve this problem last night by doing a factory reset and finally got the basic functions of the watch to work.
Next I tried to upload music. I reduced my usual running playlist to consist of less than 300 songs. Again transfer took a ridiculous amount of time only to leave the music app inoperable.
What is up with the overall software quality? The product has been on the market for over a yer but feels as if was still in beta phase.

I have the same problem. The music app hangs on the splash screen for a long time and then fails to open. This began to occur after a music transfer, which ended properly with a green tick.

I've tried restarting numerous times. I even did a factory reset, which was a lot of work. I have lots of memory free.

This is very frustrating!!
