Hi,

I have a brand new iconic connected to my iPhone, wifi, and MAC app (latest version).

However when i connect to MAC and try sync music, the only music locations it displays are iTunes playlists. I want to copy music over manually, not from iTunes.

I have gone into advanced settings and removed the iTunes library location, and added my personal music folder, however it still only ever shows iTunes playlists.

Can anyone advise am i missing something?

Hi @dodonohoe,

I have a question. For your new music location, do you have playlists set up already?

The app doesn't display the actual music files, only the playlists. So if there are no playlists in the new location, it won't see any music files.

We can create playlists within the Fitbit app Media section. At the top is a Create Playlist button. I would start there to make sure everything is working fine at that level.

After that, I've been able to create standard playlists (M3U8) in Media Monkey that work also. It's been years since I've used or installed iTunes, so I can verify it's not required for music transfer.

Thanks man... but theres no options whatsoever within iPhone app, it just says "Please create playlists on software on computer......"

I had a look for monkey media, doesnt seem to be a MAC version. Should i assume your a windows user?

I am a Windows user. I don't believe music transfer is supported via phone.

From Music Transfer help article:

To download playlists to your watch, you need a computer with a Wi-Fi connection and the free Fitbit desktop app. Choose between the following options:

*Windows 10 PC and the Fitbit app
*Mac or Windows 7/8 PC and the Fitbit Connect app

I may be confusing the terms not being an apple person, as I sometimes hear Mac interchangeable as the OS or the computer.
