Any word on possible Google play music apps or Apple music apps being put on to the ionic like Pandora is? Or at least a way to put streaming service music on the ionic?

Unfortunately Fitbit doesn’t share this sort of info. The best you can do is go to Feature Suggestions and vote for this to be added (as there are similar requests)
