Same thing happened mine last night. It was on my wrist, no alerts to say battery was low, I looked at it and it was dead.  Reset wont work, combinations of button presses wont do anything, wont respond to charging.   Left it plugged into the charging cable over night and its still dead.   Only have it since July and charge it every day or two to keep the battery topped up.

Have not contacted customer service yet very close to Christmas to try and get something shipped back to manufacture etc.   From reading different forums with people having the same issue its likely they wont believe I'm capable of holding down 2 buttons at the same time and I'll also get asked to make a video to prove myself.        My sensor lights are dead, no vibe when trying to charge it even with the device off it should vibrated when you connect the charging cable.

I've lost my original receipt from Argos Ireland where I bought it but still have the original box it came in, what spooked me at the time was Argos said they could not take any returns for Fitbit devices and If Id any trouble I could not return it to them I'd need to return it direct to Fitbit themselves. This is very odd! for a store to say.

I've tried the left button and bottom right,  3 buttons, each button, different computers USB ports, I've cleaned the contacts on cable and fitbit, There is no activity from it at all.

How long did you leave it on the charger for?  In order to receive a full charge, it needs to be left on the charger for at least 2 hours.

So I have exactly the same issue and did all of these steps. How do I get support for this issue.

Hello,

I have the following problem with my Ionic: the battery died and will not charge. It stays at 0%. Here are the steps I have taken to try to fix the problem:

1.Use different plugs such as computer or wall outlet (tried a few different plugs)

      2. Reset using the buttons on the watch itself

      3. Clean the connectors on the watch

      4. Turn the phone off and on

      5. Let the watch charge

Did you ever get your device working? If not what did you buy? It just happened to me. Yes, very poor customer service. Thanks for your post.

My Ionic is 2 years old and out of warranty, but until the latest update, was working very well.  No issues.  Now, it is a paperweight because it is "defective" according to Fitbit and is dead in the water.  Nothing.  No amount of charging, factory resetting, etc. will make it turn on or work.  This is an unacceptable way to treat long-term and true customers (I have 1 other Fitbit and have purchased others over the years).

I understand that my watch is out of warranty.  I know that if this was a simple issue with age or use, I would be OK with it.  But this was seemingly caused by an update from Fitbit.  The watch worked until that update started.  The shutdown and refusal to restart was a direct result of the update from Fitbit, so.....

I have gone out and purchased a Samsung Watch to replace this boat anchor and am so very pleased with it that I may never go back to Fitbit.  This has left a very bad taste in my mouth.  Fitbit, you need to re-examine your latest update and responses to Ionics if you want anyone to purchase your products....

I totally agree with you. I had issues when it was still in warranty with no resolution so I just coped with the limitations, but I thought it would have a longer overall life. I mean can’t even the watch work??? I had an older Fitbit as well that performed much better, but wanted to upgrade which was a mistake. I am now out of warranty.
I am very surprised with the lack of making customers satisfied or trying to rectify the problems with the device. I have tried all solutions posted with no success. Thanks for your experience.
