Mine doesn’t turn on when I lift my wrist to check it out??? I have to double tap the screen fast then it wakes up...

Hold in left button a few seconds.  Look for 'Screen Wake'.  Tap to toggle on or off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
