Do a Restart and do it several times if necessary.

Hello @jen7761 and welcome.  Sorry your having problems.  Please provide some additional details:

1.  How long have you had your Ionic?

2.  When did this start happening?

3.  Is your Ionic charging and if so, how are you verifying your current battery charge?

Thanks and I'll be watching for your reply.

I have had my ionic 4or5 months and have loved it till now. This started
about 3 weeks ago.I got a new phone and when I went to set it up the app
also started updating ,but never would sync to complete update and set up
due to the phone shutting off. I thought maybe it was due to the fact it
looked like it was have set up. I went to the phone store and they said it
was probably because my phone was not compatible. So i bought another phone
just like the one i had originally. And set it up 2minutes at a time due
to the ionic will only stay on that long.At that point the buttons would
not even work the only way to get it to turn on is to connect charger and
disconnect charger but after playing with it to keep it on to set up I got
it. Now the buttons work but still will not stay on🤔

With it completely charged, Jen, try a Factory Reset to return the Ionic to the condition when you originally removed it from the box and start all over again. Swipe  left to Settings and then About and then Factory Reset. If that doesn't solve your problem, then contact Customer Support.

I don't know what you see but you scroll down and Factory Reset is there on the About screen.

I finally got it to factory reset but now it won't stay on long enough to set back up so it's useless! I had wanted a fit bit for so long and with my tax money I was going to get the cheapest one and be happy.(I'm on a fix income with two college students and a disable husband.) My husband talked me into getting the most expensive, newest thing that our store had cause he said I deserved the best. Well if this is the best I'd hate to see y'alls worst. Here I am struggling for money wanting to kick myself in the the butt for wasting over $300 .
