My Ionic will not work

I just got a new Ionic and it will not work with my computer using windows 10. I spent hours with Fitbit support and they tell me to buy an android or smart phone. I do not have one of these devices. When I try to set it up the fitbit app find it give me a 4 digit code then hangs sayin finishing up.

I have a Windows 10 laptop as well and it works well with my Ionic.  Is your Ionic connected to your computer via charger and Bluetooth?  

Does your computer have Bluetooth built in?  Mine does.  If this is the case, you could try going into the Bluetooth settings and telling it to "forget" the Ionic and then re-pair it with the Bluetooth.  I've had to do this a few times.

Try connecting it via the charger as well.  Sometimes this for some reason beyond my realm of understanding, helps with connection issues.
