I purchased the Ionic a couple of months ago to provide some additional support on my renewed weight loss and health focus commitment.
It's a nice product for sure. However, I think it might be a little more than what I personally needed. I had a cheaper Fitbit wristband tracker a few years ago and it was adequate. However, it is what it is now.
A few cons that are probably NOT exclusive to the Ionic:
A few pros:
As I said, many of the loaded and available features like music download, weather, coaching and other add-ons are more than I really needed. Which leads me to believe I should of really thought the buying process through before pulling the trigger and spending the kind of money I did on the Ionic.

Mine is nearly flawless from what I can tell in terms of tracking steps, BPM, etc. It is well worth the $$ I spent, and I spent significantly less than I would have for other companies' products that include the music function.

Good for you!
As far as tracking steps, the first day I was wearing it I mowed my back acre using my riding mower. It added over two thousand steps, mind you the mowing area is a little bumpy.
I specifically went to Costco to test out how it would work pushing a cart around. I counted over 200 steps (with both hands on the cart) I did and checked the tracker, it logged about 35 steps. Like I said, it's not that big of a deal to me as I'm not a compulsive step tracker
