My experience with Fitbit Ionic

I have had two Ionics now and both have failed in under a year due to water ingress as well as just 'dying' - i.e. will not charge up any more.

I also had a pair of Fitbit scales that also failed when I merely changed the battery.

Goodbye Fitbit and frankly good riddance.

@crouchr reading your other message I see you mention waterproof. Waterproof is not a legal term that can be used with watches or electronics since the 1960's. At best it is water resistant to..... In fitbits case to about 150 feet in perfectly calm water with a very slow descent.

In the real world this means no diving, only shallow swimming and not subjected to any strong currents are streams of water(screen only glued on). No hot tubs, showers, etc.

No pressing buttons while in the water, standard for any watch with this rating. The seal is not good enough.
