I purchased my Iconic shortly after they became available. I liked the functionality and loved the onboard music storage. But it always seemed like I was having to overcome one quirk after another. I say was because my Ionic died one day last July and never woke up. I tried everything to revive it, but it was done. This was not my first Fitbit, I owned the original and it was plagued with quality issues. Fitbit replaced my original once and I was happy enough to spend top dollar for the Ionic. I never bothered to contact Fitbit. I was outside the warranty period and I really lost faith in their products. Friends tell me "just send it to them and get a new one that's what I did." There in lies the problem. If the product is quality it shouldn't have so many quirks or require regular replacement. I don't want anything from Fitbit. I only post this now because I'm shopping for a quality fitness watch and it reminded me of the high hopes I had for the Ionic. I hope I choose better this time around.
