Is FitBit forcing its users to move to a new watch by forced obsolescence? First my Ionic would not stay charged for longer than a day, if I used it for a run or ride it would die quicker. I was willing to put up with that by charging when at my desk, this seemed to happen after a firmware update. Now, after another update, only the backlight, no sensor, work so my watch is useless. $250 for 3 years is crazy and 25% off is almost an insult. Like many FitBit users I will review other smart watches other than FitBit.

@Banister01 Hey there. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Ionic.
I appreciate that you mentioned you contacted our Support team and the option they gave you. Our team will review each case individually and the option provided will be based in the Fitbit Warranty. If you have any questions about it, you may want to reply to case that you already have with them.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Nobody has ever replied, customer support never followed up. I am very disappointed in FitBit;s support and willbe looking for a new watch, but it will not be FitBit.

I had the same issue, lots of other posts on the Internet on different forums saying the same thing, people paid best part if £300 for a watch that lasts just over the warranty, fitbit don't do anything ('its out of warranty, we don't fix watches, you'll have to buy a new one, here's 35% off') clearly they aren't fit for purpose if they don't last long, either that or they're way over priced to start with!!!
